This delicious cocktail is called the New York Sour. The New York Sour was created in New York City, possibly in the 1900s or even the 1800s, I assume. It is a variant of the popular Whiskey Sour, which was also created around the same time, though not in New York (I'm also assuming).
The Ingredients for the New York Sour:
2.5 oz American Bourbon whiskey
1 oz simple syrup
1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 whole egg white
Add the ingredients to a shaker and shake for 30 seconds to emulsify the liquids. Then add ice and shake for another 30 seconds to chill this magical concoction. Pour your creation into a rocks glass. Finish it off by topping it with a fruity red wine.
My Review of the New York Sour:
Has someone recently challenged you to a fight, told you that "you're going to die, pussy," while pumping gas, or have you experienced an apocalyptic wildfire during the Covid summer and unstable political environment? Good news! The New York Sour will erase those memories in a New York minute. It's perfect for those gloomy days off, or even in the morning before you head to work as an “essential worker”...
Follow the instructions above and enjoy.
